I call it the doberman effect- if you have ten dobies coming at you- and you KNOW three of them will be great pets but the other seven want to tear you to pieces- and you have a pistol what are you going to do? Let them get to you and hope it’s one of the three or fire on them because of the other seven? can you blame them?! I don’t and I’m a black educated male. we need to grow up and act civilized or hell go back to Africa. I mean it. get real.

That’s not the issue my article raises. Nerd vs. Jock is normal. Nerd vs. Race isn’t. A young black man shouldn’t feel ostracized from his race for attending school, making good grades, or wearing a suit & tie.
